{"id":694,"date":"2020-05-29T22:11:40","date_gmt":"2020-05-29T22:11:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/howeimages.com\/howekinder20\/?p=694"},"modified":"2020-05-29T22:11:40","modified_gmt":"2020-05-29T22:11:40","slug":"last-day-of-school","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/howeimages.com\/howekinder20\/2020\/05\/29\/last-day-of-school\/","title":{"rendered":"Last Day of School"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>May 29, 2020<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dear Parents,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today is the last day of school for our class!&nbsp; It has been an honor and a pleasure to be your child\u2019s kindergarten teacher.&nbsp; It has been a wild ride!&nbsp; Finishing off the year with 17 Zoom meetings will certainly be memorable.&nbsp;&nbsp; I miss this class so much, but I hope they will visit me in 1<sup>st<\/sup> Grade (and every other grade) I am so proud of all the work they did in Kindergarten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have a very long break.&nbsp; For some students (B, C, and D track), school starts again on Thursday, July 16<sup>th<\/sup>.&nbsp; A track students will start in August.&nbsp; &nbsp;It would be very easy for the students to get out of practice over a 10- or 16-week break, so it would be a good idea to do some name writing practice and alphabet and number writing practice.&nbsp;&nbsp; The most important thing to do with your student is to <strong>read to them every day<\/strong> and have fun during the break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I have sent home the partially used and unused workbooks.&nbsp; They would be good practice over the break.&nbsp; They shouldn\u2019t be done all at once.&nbsp;&nbsp; Knowing the students in this class, many of them will find the pages fun to work on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you need extra copies of the memory video, or you need it in a different format, let me know.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please don&#8217;t hesitate to contact me if you have questions.
